FAQs for buyers

  1. HOW DO YOU DETERMINE AUTHENTICITY?
At Tor’s Thrifty Store, we pride ourselves on being a reseller for preloved brands.. Authenticity is understandably the biggest anxiety of anyone looking to buy luxury from a preloved shop.  Once items arrive at HQ, they are grouped and identified according to their authenticity risk. This is based on their brand, market value, category: clothes, bags, shoes & accessories and consignor data. The higher the value of the item, the higher the risk of counterfeit, and the more ruthless our process becomes. The final step in our authentication process is done in collaboration with our partners at Real Authentication & www.entrupy.com both are luxury authentication service which are able to determine with certainty whether luxury items are authentic or not. Using their Smart Database Scan Technology, we are able to mitigate the possibility of human error by checking each step of our process against their data. If it turns out otherwise, you will get your money back once the item has been returned.
  1. WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR ITEMS?
Currently, everything is preloved from Tor personally or a close-knit network.
When we sell for clients, our items will be sourced from a combination of high net-worth individuals and leading fashion stylists. Items will be background-checked for authenticity.
  1. WHAT IS THE RETURNS PROCESS?
At Tor's Thrifty, all sales are final. Like other preloved stores, we do not offer returns or exchanges.
If you are unsure about an item, we suggest asking for a video conference call by contacting a member of our team via Instagram or email for extra information.
The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 do not apply due to section 28(b) and 28(3)(a).
